Sydney by Night

Sydney Harbour sparkles on a hot summer’s day but its not until dusk, that special time between day and night, when you start to experience the magnificence of the harbour city at night. And what better place to appreciate its majesty than the boardwalk of the Opera House? Recently I visited the iconic Sydney landmark to see a play at the Drama Theatre where at interval they threw open the doors to the most picturesque view of the harbour bridge and Circular Quay whose lights were just starting to twinkle. It was then that I appreciated for the first time in a long time the majesty of the harbour city of my birth.

  1. Agreed. Sydney Harbour is mesmerising … in all seasons. Even as a born and bred Sydneysider (who knows the city’s negatives only too well) I feel overawed every time I’m in sight of it, from any perspective. Happy New Year Kate.
