In Celebration of Small Things: The Beautiful Trees of Back Lane

Riding bicycles will not only benefit the individual doing it, but the world at large.”
Udo E. Simonis, Emeritus Professor of Environmental Policy at the Science Centre, Berlin, January 2010

These days we have to make the most of the weather and take every opportunity to enjoy the simple pleasures of life-like a bike ride along a country lane. I had had a cold earlier in the week and as I recovered I felt the need for exercise in Nature, the great healer. But each time I was thwarted by intermittent rain. So when the sun shone brilliantly on Thursday I prepared the bike and got going. Back Lane is a long street which is home to cows, horses and people in this beautiful rural region of Grafton.

I haven’t Photoshopped the pictures-its that green and the sky was that blue! Is there anything better than feeling your body respond to the fresh air and sunshine? And of course making the acquaintance of the locals is always an added bonus

  1. Absolutely love it when the weather is that good, when everything is so green and the sky is so blue…hopefully the weather will stay this way for you as long as possible…:)
