‘A Thing of Beauty is a Joy Forever’ John Keats

At  this time of year in this part of the French countryside known as ‘Le Pays de La Loire ‘ life is starting to blossom. There’s a sweetness and clarity in the air and it’s Mother Earth emerging from her long winter’s sleep.Every day as I cycle through the vineyards, I witness the small and radiant changes in the plants. Yesterday was a  stunning spring day and my new friend took me to visit a Chateau in the magnificent town of Samur-what a sublime experience !  It’s hard to put into words the effect of experiencing such monumental beauty- from the purity of the white stone to the tiled turrets, golden emblem at the very top,and balanced proportions of the building  which gave a sense of equilibrium on entering the Chateau-I felt overwhelmed in the best possible way. But beauty, both big and small, does that to our human hearts reminding us that we can experience renewal along with the earth. It is a gift not to be taken lightly but acknowledged and celebrated with gratitude
